Hay Springs will play for the Nebraska 6-man football state title next Friday after a convincing 65-41 win at defending state champion Lincoln Parkview Christian.
The Hawks took an early 6-0 lead on a run by Gage Mintken, the first 6 he would score on the day.
The Patriots answered with a TD of their own and kicked the PAT for an 8-6 lead, but Hay Springs took command with consecutive scores in the 2nd quarter.
The Hawks had a chance to make it a 3-score lead going into halftime, but time expired with the ball on the Parkview Christian 1.
Parkview cut the margin to just 7 early in the 3rd, but Hay Springs quickly pushed back to a 3-score lead and never let it drop below 2 scores after that.
Mintken was the Service Barber Shop Player of the Game after rushing for 337 yds and 6 scores
Hay Springs will face either Sumner-Eddyville-Miller or Wilcox-Hildreth, who play tonight, in the finals next week at Nebraska-Kearney.
