i.  High Fives-

  • CMS Student Council for organizing our themed dress-up days for Red Ribbon Week.
  • CMS Student Council for organizing the 7th and 8th-grade dance on November 3rd.
  • Mr. Wollesen and Mrs. Elliason for installing the Gaga Ball pit on the playground.
  • Mrs. Woods and her CMS ASP staff for hosting the “Lights on Afterschool” program
  • To Chadron Community Hospital and WCHR for donating our staff flu shots and COVID boosters.  
  • All our 7th/8th fall sports teams (XC, VB, and FB) for excellent seasons. Winter sports competitions began on November 2nd with wrestlers @ G-R and Girls BB on November 9th vs. Alliance (7th away and 8th at home).
  • Congratulations to Mrs. Rhoads, Mr. Rischling, and their students on successful vocal and instrumental fall music concerts!
  • Congratulations to Taegan Bach for competing as our lone individual in the Girls State Golf Championships! Taegan shot a 98, 99 in the two day event to finish 46th.
  • Congratulations to our Cross Country State Qualifiers: Jentsyn Fuller (22nd), Lillie Uhing (29th), and Grace Pyle 57th)!
  • Thank you to all the school counselors and providers who assisted in providing the BiMAS Universal Mental Health Screener for high school students.
  • Chadron High School was the Division II winner at the CSC Scholastic Day!

  • Bryson Bickel, Cody Kahl, Owen Wess and Wylee West competed at the National FFA Contest and their team score took silver in the Environmental and Natural Resources category!
  • Thank you to the CMS for providing a Veterans Day Program!
  • Congratulations to the CHS Football team for qualifying for the State Playoffs!
  • Three girls qualified for the Cross Country State Championships: Lillie Uhing, Jentsyn Fuller and Grace Pyle!
  • Taegan Bach qualified to compete individually for the State Golf Championships!
  • Volleyball finished as District Runner-Up!
  • Softball finished as District Runner-Up!
  • To all of the teachers and families that attended and supported our Parent/Teacher Conferences – this year we were able to offer choices to families as to how they wanted to meet (in person, with a Zoom call, video or phone messages, or email).  Our turnout for conferences was tremendous as we had close to 90% attendance and of those who attended, 89% of those were in person.  Once again, we hear support from our families thanking us for the option of flexibility.
  • Mrs. Kaus and Mrs. McClaren for coordinating our Scholastic Book Fair during our Parent/Teacher Conferences – This year it was held in person and families helped us raise over $4,342.51this year ~ THANK YOU for your continued support!
  • To the Chadron Volunteer Fire Department for bringing vehicles for our Fire Prevention presentations.
  • We had 29 students who received perfect attendance certificates for the 1st Quarter
  • To Mrs. Landreth for organizing Red Ribbon Week activities and days, the staff, and students who all participated.
  • To Chadron Community Hospital and Western Community Health Resources for the donation of our staff flu shots and people to administer both flu shots to public school staff members.  
  • To the Just For Kids staff on an eventful Halloween party complete with stations and fun.
  • Dr. Keithly from Chadron State College for the invitation to the Creepy COIL Crawl ~ our students were able to participate in math/science activities, trick or treating, and Halloween day fun.
  • To our staff and parents for making our Parent-Teacher conferences successful! We had 88% in-person attendance and 96% contact made overall!
  • To our students and families – only 3% of our students missed 5 or more days of school in the 1st quarter! (2021-22: 12.5%, 2022-23: 7.8%). 31 students had Perfect Attendance for the 1st Quarter!
  • To the COIL staff at CSC for putting on the “Creepy COIL” for our students!
  • Thank you to Crestview Care Center for welcoming our students in to trick or treat and do a costume parade for your residents!
  • Thank you to our Site Coordinators and all our afterschool staff for the extra effort they put into celebrating the 2023 Rally for Afterschool Programs – Lights On Afterschool, October 26th.
  • Thank you to Mrs. Cattnach for organizing Red Ribbon Week.

AQuESTT – Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow  AQuESTT is Nebraska’s next-generation accountability system.
