This is Shop Small Saturday, a national campaign encouraging holiday shoppers to celebrate and support local small businesses and all they do for their communities.
Shop Small Saturday in Chadron and Crawford is one of the events that make up this year’s A Country Christmas in Northwest Nebraska.
Chadron Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Gabby Michna says local small businesses are always at the forefront of supporting local programs and projects, so it’s only right the community should support them when shopping.
Santa is making special appearances at two local small businesses today in conjunction with Shop Small Saturday.
The Jolly Old Elf makes his first visit to Chadron from 9-1:00 in his warm and snug workshop at the New Leaf Marketplace/Apricot Lane.
. Kids are invited to bring their Christmas lists with parents encouraged to take pictures of their youngsters or families with Santa. Everyone wanting to see Santa will be given a number that will be called when it’s their turn.
After finishing at the New Leaf, the Man with the Sleigh heads north to the Stateline Casino as part of its Kid’s Christmas Shopping Day, which runs from 11-3:00.
