Chadron Children’s Christmas Store Is Sunday

Another of Chadron’s Christmas traditions is tomorrow, the Children’s Christmas Store.

The annual event gives kids 3-to-13 a chance to buy inexpensive gifts on their own. It’s from 1-3:00 at the Assumption Arena.

Co-Coordinator Lynn Mathis says the Children’s Christmas Store is a project of St Patrick’s Catholic Church that’s open to all kids and depends on donations and volunteers

Mathis says the Children’s Christmas Store has been a community fixture for 3 decades, giving kids the chance to buy inexpensive gifts for friends and family assisted by volunteer elves without parents or siblings watching.

Mathis says it’s a one-stop shop experience for this kids, who don’t even have to worry about wrapping their purchases.

Mathis says the joy the volunteers get from the Children’s Christmas Store makes all the effort worth it.
