The Chadron girls cut a 14-point 1st half deficit down to three at the half, only to watch Bayard start the 3rd quarter on a 9-0 run en route to a 53-39 win over the Cardinals on Saturday night.
Chadron was able to pull within seven in the 4th before Bayard closed it out.
Demi Ferguson scored 17 for Chadron and Lexi Fiscus had 18 for Bayard.
Broc Berry scored 18 and Gage Wild had 13 as the Chadron boys drilled Bayard 61-19.
The Cards held Bayard to just one made field goal in the first half and led 36-5 at the break.
Chadron returns home on Friday to host Gordon-Rushville
