Obituary of and by Charles (Fritz) Preble
I was born in Hay Springs, NE to Charles and Wanda (Myers) Preble. Graduated
from Hay Springs High School in 1955. Farmed with Father until 1952, then farmed
with Edward Preble and brother Dennis until 1960.

Met and married Flora Jane Faubion on June 2, 1959. We moved to Chadron working for Gambles and Henkens Equipment. In September 1964, went to work for NE State Patrol and
moved to Scottsbluff.

In 1971, moved to Grand Island, returning to Mitchell, NE, in 1977. I retired on Dec 31, 1991 from the State Patrol. I then worked for Regional West Hospital and Scottsbluff CO Sheriff’s Office for a few years.

Born to Jane and me were Mike, Clarence (Cap), and Traci. On August 7, 2017 I lost Jane, the love of my life and my wife of 58 plus years.

My free time was spent fishing, camping, snowmobiling, treasure hunting (walking the beaches and garage sales), and of course the yard and honey-doo’s. In the past we rode a motorcycle, but had to give that up because of bad knees. Spending time with Children and Grandchildren

I am leaving behind my son Mike and Sandra Preble, Daughter Traci and Mike Brunz. Grandchildren Justin and Brandi Brunz, Jeremy and Miana Brunz, Zachary and Samantha Preble, Ashley Brunz, and Charles Preble III. Great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Jaxon Bunz, Grayson Brunz, Rylee Preble. Step-grandchildren Lena Jones and McKenna Grass and Axton Merrigan. Special Friend DeAnn Jensen.

Preceding me in death were wife Jane, son Clarence, parents Charles and Wanda, Brother Dennis, Carlie and sister Raylene. Grandparents Edward and Jennie Preble.
