Robert Charles Guzman was born on May 3, 1977 in Cheyenne, WY to Bernardino Guzman Jr and Helen (Mesteth) Guzman. Robert made his journey to the Spirit World on Jan 8, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

We are sad and heartbroken to announce the death of our loved one, Robert (Bobby) Charles Guzman. Bobby was the 4th son born to the Guzmans and was raised in Rapid City. He was educated both in California and at our local Stevens High School.

Bobby met and began his partnership with Beaver DeCorey back in 1988.  The two of them began an extraordinary relationship over the last 36 years. Talk about a lifetime!

These two had been through it all, beginning at a very young age. Bobby loved to spend time with Beaver, his mom and dad, friends and all the rest of his family.

Bobby was so funny and charismatic while always wearing a smile on his face. He was a loving and caring person, devoted partner and friend while always thinking of others first.

“To Know Him Was To Love Him”

Bobby loved spending time with all of his nieces and nephews. You could find them playing, cooking out, and swimming. Bobby also loved traveling with Beaver. They enjoyed several trips to Turkey and Las Vegas. We love knowing that Bobby was able to see some of the world.

Bobby was a very selfless person and an extremely hard worker. You might have recently seen Bobby working alongside his sister Nicole and partner Beaver while “sporting his LADY EARRINGS!”

Bobby not only leaves behind our family and friends, but also his favorite customers – who will also miss his presence. Bobby was a fun person who also enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, and singing (Cue Whitney Houston!)

Bobby was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He will be deeply missed by Beaver, his mother, father, siblings, other family, friends and all who knew him. We love you Bobby!

Bobby is survived by his parents Bernardino and Helen (Mesteth) Guzman Jr, both of Rapid City, SD; brothers Kenneth Mesteth, Richard Mesteth, Theodore Guzman, and Bernardino Guzman III, all of Rapid City; sisters Nichole Guzman and Alicia Twiss, both of Rapid City; aunt Rose Marie of California; uncle Ronald Guzman of Lodi, CA; his partner Kendell DeCory; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Marelda Della Moen and Bernardino Guzman Sr; maternal grandparents Rachel Cottier and Vincent Dewey Mesteth; aunts and uncles Gloria Mesteth, Marilyn Martin, Gloria Nelson, Sylvester Mesteth, Albert Mesteth, Theodore Mesteth, and Vincent Mesteth Jr, and Robert Guzman.
