Donovan is survived his children Joshua Charging Crow, Patricia Uses Arrow, and Eleanor Uses Arrow, all from Wanblee, SD; grandchildren Adrian Charging Crow, Nicholas Iron Horse, Jaren Iron Horse Jr, and Major Uses Arrow, all from Wanblee, SD; sister Doris Chasing (Alex Sainz) from Mobridge, SD; brothers Kenneth Uses Arrow from Winner, SD and Charles Black Fox (Tamara Black Fox) from Mobridge, SD; sisters-in-law Theresa (Jerome) High Horse, Marilyn (Neil) Red Elk, and Lynette (Terry) Little Whiteman; and brothers-in-law Leo Bald Eagle, Delbert Charging Crow Sr, and James Charging Crow.
Donovan was preceded in death by his lovely wife Eva Charging Crow; daughter Tammy Uses Arrow; parents Evelyn Uses Arrow and Vincent Thunder Shield; brothers Fred Thunder Shield, Willard Malebear, Rolland Thunder Shield, and Duane Thunder Shield Sr; sister Sandra Uses Arrow; and mother- and father-in-law Jim and Eleanor Charging Crow.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Charging Crow, Nicholas Iron Horse, Jaren Iron Horse Jr, Major Uses Arrow, Tyler LeBeau Sr, Curtis Quiver, Tim Spotted Elk, Kenyon Janis, David Wilcox, Brawny Eisenbraun, and Briar Eisenbraun.
