Ag Hall Of Fame Committee Seeking Nominations For “Good Neighbor Award”

Just a few days remain to submit nominations to the Dawes County Agricultural Hall of Fame Committee for this year’s Good Neighbor Award, which will be presented at this year’s County Fair on July 31.

The Good Neighbor Award was given out annually for decades by the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben and the Omaha World-Herald to recognize those across the state who had provided assistance and done good deeds, but the program ended several years ago.

The Dawes County Ag Hall of Fame Committee wants to revive it locally and is taking nominations through this Friday.

Nominations with details about why the person being submitted is worthy of such recognition

should be sent to County Ag Society Secretary Brooke Keim at 623 Airport Road, Chadron, NE 69337.
