Funeral services for 51-year old Alan Red Willow are Monday, June 7, 2021 at 2:00 at the T&T Center in Wanblee, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Richard Moves Camp
Burial is at St Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Hisle, SD
A one-night wake service starts Sunday at 10:00 AM, also at the T&T Center in Wanblee
Alan Leon Red Willow “Wiwang Waci Hoksila” was born on May 1, 1970 in Pine Ridge, SD, to Bryant High Horse Jr and Bertha Red Willow. Alan made his journey to the Spirit World on May 29, 2021 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Alan is survived by his spouse, Desiree Red Willow; children, Alan Red Willow, Jr., Megan LaDeaux-Red Willow, and Hanwiyanpa Red Willow; father, Bryant High Horse, Jr.; siblings, Pete Red Willow, Nancy Red Willow, Sheila LaMont, Brent LaMont, Chastity Bear Killer, Don Means, Chad Means, Dion Means, Christine Means, and Ace Knight; and grandchildren, Lisandra, Larraine, Lariaha, Laurel, Earl, Jr., and Hermus Tall, and Elias Red Willow.
Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Red Willow; sister, Priscilla Means; paternal grandparents, Bryant, Sr. & Minnie (Whistler) High Horse; and maternal grandparents, Pete Red Willow, Anna Conquering Bear, and Wilbert Means.
Pallbearers will be William “BJ” Bettelyoun, Peter Conquering Bear, Christopher Long Soldier, Christian Means, Tyrel Means, Lorenzo Red Elk, Amos Bettelyoun, Timothy Sanchez, Marlin Jack, David Shangreaux, and Jordon Long Soldier.
