Alan Scott Brown, Sr. โ€œWicasa Ohitikaโ€ was born on February 25, 1970 in Pine Ridge, SD to Elgin Brown, Sr. and Carol Ten Fingers.  Alan, Sr. made his journey to the Spirit World on August 29, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Alan is survived by his children, Cynthia Middletent, Jacob Brown, Jesse Brown, Corey Brown, Santea Long, Alan Brown, Jr., Aiden Brown, and Aaron Brown; grandchildren, Blake Brown, Miโ€™eema Brown, Orien Middletent, Colt Middletent, Romey Long, and Amora Long; and siblings, Anita Brown, Stanley Brown, Tasheena Brown, Shanna Brown, Britney Brown, Sequoia Scout, and Doug Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandkids.

Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jean Ten Fingers; father, Elgin Brown, Sr.; son, Orien Brown; grandmother, Zona (Wilcox) Brown; grandfather, Garfield Brown; sister, Connie Brown; cousins, Doreen Brown, Larry Eagle Bull, and Jaime Eagle Bull; aunt, Dorthy Two Bulls; grandsons, Royce Long and Lonnie Blue Bird; maternal grandmother, Madeline Living Outside; maternal grandfather, Nevel Ten Fingers; and granddaughter, Avana Brown.  

Pallbearers will be Tony Herman, James โ€œJimboโ€ Colhoff, Marty Zephier, Terry Two Bulls, Brent Brewer, Manuel Bad Milk, Tony Brewer, Gummer Garnier, and Lyndon Stone.
