Alex Arlene Winters, daughter to Alexander Winters and Toynina Standing Bear, was born and passed away on June 15, 2022 at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Alex is survived by her parents, Alexander Winters and Toy Standing Bear; sister, Alexzandria Winters; brother, Nathan Garnette; paternal grandparents, Carol Bad Bear and Louis Boy Winters; maternal grandparents, Joanne Red Shirt and Ryan Standing Bear; aunts, Angel, Josann, and Echo Winters, & Sunshine; Amy Standing Bear and Danae Grass; uncles, Toyer Brown, Louis Winters III, Carlos Winters, Michael Winters, Akia Winters, and Clarence Returns, Jr.; and numerous other cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Alex was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Arlene Fast Horse-Valandra; great grandparents, Alex Bad Bear, Sr., Louis “Louie Boy” Winters, Sr., and Arlene Little.
Pallbearers will be Jerome Bad Bear Whistler and Kyle Yankton, Sr.
