Memorial services for 34-year old Alisha Piper-Blacksmith are Tues, Feb 28, 2023 at 11:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD, with Sister Barb Bogenschutz officiating.

Burial is at St Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery in Lakeside-Oglala, SD

A one-night wake service starts Mon, Feb 27, at 1:00 at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala with evening services at 7:00.

Alisha Faye Piper-Blacksmith was born on March 8, 1988 in Lander, WY to Delayne Russell Blacksmith and Maurine Rose Pipe.  Alisha made her journey to the Spirit World on February 20, 2023 in Pine Ridge, SD.

Alisha is survived by her daughters Heavenly Rain Kills Enemy At Night and S’myria Kills Enemy At Night; mother Maurine Pipe; father Delayne Blacksmith; sisters Amber, Bessie, and Alyssa Blacksmith, and Roseann, Olowan, Krysta, and Stanna Piper; brothers Garrett Good Voice Elk and Inyan Piper; aunts Julie Blacksmith, Liz (Orin) Morrison, Melissa Blacksmith, Vonna (Sonny) Kills In Water, Sage (Austin) Blacksmith, Lee Blacksmith, Karen Blacksmith, Caroline Piper, and Alberta Piper; uncles Hunter (Cante) Blacksmith, Max (Becky) Two Crow, and Aloysius Piper Jr, grandmother Alice Two Dogs; and numerous nieces & nephews. 

Alisha was preceded in death by her brother Beau Dean Blacksmith; grandparents Pete & Jessie Blacksmith and Aloysius Piper Sr; aunts Cheryl Piper, Eldean Blacksmith, Ina Espinosa, Priscilla Long Soldier, and Verlene Long Soldier; and uncles Stanley Blacksmith, Pete Blacksmith Jr, Robert Blacksmith, Allen Long Soldier, Leon Long Soldier, Alton Long Soldier, and Clayton Warrior. 

Pallbearers will be Jonas Quiver, Garrett Good Voice Elk, Jeremy Clyde Blacksmith, Wyatt Blacksmith, Wylie Janis, Ian Guerue, Jacob Morrison, and Drew Long Visitor.

Honorary pallbearers will be All Relatives & Friends.
