The City of Alliance is interviewing its 3 finalists to be police chief today, but no timetable was given for naming the permanent successor for Phil Lukens, who resigned in September.
All 3 finalists are longtime veterans of law enforcement, including Interim Chief Kirk Felker, whose permanent position is lieutenant and who has been with the Alliance Police Department for more than 26 years.
Terry Horner has been in law enforcement for more than 28 years, including multiple stints as a sheriff and police chief. He’s currently a captain with the Holt County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas Rhoades recently retired after more than 14 years as police chief for the Parkview Health System in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but all together has over 32 years of policing experience.
