An Alliance man is facing multiple charges following an alleged domestic assault and shoplifting incident.
The Alliance Police Department in a release said that officers were contacted by a female victim at the KC’s gas station back on Thursday who reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Officers and Alliance EMS responded and found the victim to have multiple injuries and transported her to Box Butte General Hospital for treatment.
During the course of the investigation officers discovered that the assault occurred earlier in the day Thursday at a residence in Alliance. The victim reported that the suspect repeatedly punched, kicked and threw the victim to the ground and threatened the victim with a knife.
Officers discovered that the assault was allegedly motived by the victims cooperation in an ongoing child abuse investigation involving the victims child. The release says that during the assault the suspect allegedly made statements blaming the victim for criminal charges the suspect is facing in that case and threatened the victim for her involvement.
As a result 18 year old Tuffy Conroy was arrested and booked into the Box Butte County jail on charges of terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, tampering with a witness, third degree domestic assault, minor in possession of alcohol and theft by shoplifting related to an incident at the Alliance Maverik gas station.
