Amber Red Cloud

Amber Magdelana Red Cloud was born on May 3, 1987 in Pine Ridge, SD; she is the beloved daughter to Lynette Red Cloud-Roberts, mother of Adriana (Rainy Lynn), Andre, and Taya.  She is a sister to Joseph, Stuart, Sonny, and step-daughter to John.  Amber made her journey to the Spirit World on October 14, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.  

Amber spent most of her life in the Scottsbluff/Gering, NE area.  She attended school in Nebraska and had worked several jobs there before moving back to South Dakota to be close to her family.

Due to health issues, Amber became disabled in 2018 and had to relearn and adjust to being disabled.  She did this with courage, grace, and determination.  

Amber had a very beautiful and attractive spirit, making friends wherever she went.  She was outgoing, friendly, and was able to make anyone smile and laugh.

Amber is survived by her mother, Lynette Red Cloud-Roberts; step-father, John Roberts; daughter, Adriana; son, Andre; daughter, Taya; her support/therapy cat, Ezekiel (Zeeko); brothers, Joseph High Hawk, Stuart High Hawk, and Sonny Rios; grandmother, Mona Little Hawk; aunt, Jennifer Black Feather; uncle, Manuel Red Cloud; aunt, Wendy Chase In Winter; cousin, Casey Red Cloud; nephew, Jayden High Hawk; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Amber was preceded in death by her grandfather, Pedro Red Cloud, Sr.; grandmother, Ione Tracke-Slow Heart; great grandmothers, Agnes Mesteth and Inez Mesteth; great grandfather, Anderson Poor Bear; uncle, Pedro Red Cloud, Jr.; significant other, Jeremy Buchanan; and adopted father, Daniel Rios.

Pallbearers will be Jayden High Hawk, Antone Morrison, Levron Big Crow, Lloyd Big Crow, Jr., Nicholas Big Crow, Glen Jealous of Him, and Casey Red Cloud.

Honorary pallbearers will be All Family Members, Relatives, & Friends.  A special thank you to Sanford Care Center Staff; Home Health C.N.Aโ€™s, Monument Health Hospital Staff, Physical Therapy Staff, and Hospice House Staff.

Visitation Services: Visitation will be from 10:00 AM โ€“ 1:00 PM, Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.

Funeral Services: 1:00 PM, Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
