Anna Mae Billhimer Snyder was born on September 26, 1935 at the home of her parents, Hiram and Pearl (Miller) Billhimer, joining her sister Ruth. Ann passed away March 22, 2022, at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, NE.
Ann graduated from Lingle, WY, High School, then attended Union College in Lincoln, NEm until receiving enough credits to teach county schools.
She taught 3 and one half years in Jefferson and Gage counties in Nebraska, then in 1959 she married Dennis Snyder at the home of James and Ruth Snyder at Odell, NE.
To this union were born Alice Ann, Aaron Allen, Daniel Dennis, Dean Dale, Gail Lynn and Geri Lea.
The family lived at Odell until 1966 when they moved to Friend, NE, where Ann worked as a CNA at the Warren Memorial Hospital. They moved to Dix, NE in 1981, and she worked as a CNA at Kimball Health Services before moving over in 1986 to work for GRI in Kimball. She worked there until she retired in 2016 and moved to Chadron, NE.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth, husband Dennis, infant daughter Geri, sons Dean and Daniel, 9 brothers-in-laws and 3 sisters-in-laws.
Ann is survived and remembered by daughter Alice and Chuck Kutschara of Hay Springs, sons Allen of Lincoln and Gail and Shiela of Lincoln, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
