The SoDak 16 gets underway Tuesday across the state of South Dakota with 16 teams in three classes looking to earn a spot in the state tournament in Sioux Falls. There are five teams from the Black Hills and Panhandle Conferences that will fight for a spot in the state tournament. Douglas, St. Thomas More, Spearfish, Douglas and Edgemont along with common Nebraska opponent Lakota Tech.
In class AA the eighth seeded Spearfish Spartians will host Aberdeen Central in Spearfish with a start time of 6mt. Along with Spearfish in AA the Douglas Patriots will look to pull off an upset as the 16 seed visiting the one seed Harrisburg with a start time of 5mt.
In Class A Hill City will meet up with the 11 seed Sioux Valley in Phillip with a first serve of 7mt. Joining Hill City is St. Thomas More as the 15 seed playing against Hamlin in Chamberlain with a first serve of 6mt. Rounding out the area teams in Class A is Lakota Tech, who got the final spot as the 16 seed and will face the one seed Millet at Stanley County High school with a first serve of 4:30mt.
In Class B the Edgemont Moguls will take on the eight seed Colman-Egan with a 4:30mt start time in Chamberlain.
The winners of all those matches will advance to the state tournament in Sioux Falls at the Denny Sanford Premier Center with the first round being on November 21st, the semi finals the 22nd, and the finals being on the 23rd.
