Artist Reception, Wind Symphony/Community Band Concert Wrap Up Busy CSC Day

     Dr Ron Patterson’s investiture as Chadron State’s 12th President isn’t the only event today in Memorial Hall.

The CSC Wind Symphony and Community Band are offering their free Spring Concert tonight at 7:00.

       College Marketing Director Tena Cook says that in addition to the concert, less than an hour after the end of the ceremonies the Memorial Hall lobby will host a reception for the artists featured in this year’s Senior Art Show.

Titled Versicolor. the senior art show runs until next Tuesday in the Memorial Hall Main Gallery.

      It features a wide variety of media including sculpture, ceramics, collage, photography, painting, graphic design, illustration, and digital art prints. The artists say they’ve  chosen the best of their works to reflect what they have learned at CSC.

        All 7 will be graduating in May and 4 of them are from Nebraska: Marissa Borchard of Sidney, Corey Griffin of Omaha, Madison Kinney of Gering, and Kalen Lotton of Harrison. 

        The others are Allison Acosta of Tucson, Othello Fairbanks of Salt Lake City, and Cipher Helfer of Custer, SD.
