Ashton Raine Provost came into this world on August 1, 2004 with a wild heart and soul in Pine Ridge, SD to Casey Provost and Lorilei Janis. Ashton and her baby made their journey to the Spirit World together on August 20, 2023 near Porcupine, SD.

Ashton was hard-headed and stubborn; as a child she loved so much to play with dresses and all things girl and diva.

She loved everyone she encountered and would do just about anything to make sure they knew it.

Ashton never let anyone stand in her way when showing her love, especially to her dad; as a little girl, she was “such a daddy’s girl” and her daughter is exactly like her.

Ashton attended Rockyford School from pre-school to the 8th grade. She loved giving everyone grief from shoving and slapping up her brothers, to breaking her Uncle Ken’s rib- by accident, of course!

Ashton was a tough girl, but she loved her sisters as she was always joking around and teasing. With he, it was always laughs, but let us not forget how sassy she was either – she was the boss.

Ashton was one of a kind and will be deeply loved and missed by her family and friends.A

shton is survived by her daughter Brealla Rein Provost; parents Lori Janis and Casey Provost; brothers Casey Provost Jr and Tanner Provost; sisters Page Janis, Jasey Provost, and Kaylee Provost; paternal grandparents Orren and Doreen Provost; maternal grandmother Colleen White Butterfly; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Ashton was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Benjamin William Janis; paternal grandmother Gloria Pourier; uncle Benjamin Joseph Janis III; nephew Wilder Provost; and cousin Gracie Lynn Thunder Hawk.
