During the month of August 2024, nineteen people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

ยจ These 19 fatalities occurred in 18 fatal crashes.
ยจย ย ย ย ย ย ย Seven of the twelve vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, three were using a seatbelt, and two had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.
ยจ Thirteen of the fatalities were in rural locations*.
ยจ There were three fatalities on the interstate, six on other highways, and ten on local roads.
ยจ Two of the fatalities were pedestrians.
ยจ Three of the fatalities were motorcyclists.
ยจ Two of the fatalities were bicyclists.
ยจ One fatality was driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
ยจ One fatality was driving a farm tractor.
