Bail has been denied for the Rapid City man charged with 1st-degree murder for killing a man early Thursday morning near the Cornerstone Rescue Mission.
32-year old Michael Flores made his first appearance in court Friday via live stream from the Pennington County Jail.
Prosecutors argued against setting bond because Flores is a flight risk since he’s already on parole for assaulting law enforcement officers and possession of a controlled substance.
Judge Sarah Morrison agreed with the prosecution and denied bond. As a result, Flores will remain in jail as his case moves toward trial.
