Bailey, Prado & Rasmussen Win Titles In Douglas, WY

Quinn Bailey kept his season record unblemished at this past weekend’s Shane Shatto Memorial in Douglas, WY.

Bailey opened with a tech fall followed by a major decision and then used back to back pins to get into the championship match at 157-lbs. It was an 8-6 shootout decision for the defending state champion over Jais Rose of Thunder Basin.

Zane Cullers was 4th at 165-lbs, losing to Brodey Sorenson of Thermopolis in the 3rd place match 6-2.

Bristol Prado and Fia Rasmussen captured first on the girls side of the Shane Shatto Memorial.

Prado pinned all four of her opponents at 120-lbs, including the title match where she took down Kaiana Garlough of Cheyenne Central in :41 seconds. Rasmussen needed just three matches to win the 145-lb weight class and capped it off with a pin of Chloe King of Wright in 1:32.

Adday Tewahade and Addie Diers were runners up in their weight classes at 140 and 155-lbs respectively. Vivian Golembiewski placed 3rd at 190 while Sara Weber was 4th at 107-lbs and Josey Werner was 5th at 100-lbs.

The Chadron boys will dual Broken Bow on Friday while the girls head to Schuyler. Both will meet up at the Grand Island Northwest meet on Saturday.
