Benjamin Lee Britton was born March 3, 1965 in Rocky Ford, CO, to Jesse and Jackie (Hoffman) Britton. He passed away Sept 14, 2023.
Ben graduated from Yuma High School in 1982. He enlisted in the Army in 1983 and served in the Military Police Canine Corps at Fort Benning, GA, from 1984 to 1991.
Ben then returned to Colorado and worked 22 years in the Transportation department of Keystone Resort as a Dispatcher, Driver, and Supervisor, then worked 6 years at Summit Sage as a Dispatcher and Driver before moving to Chadron to be closer to family.
Many loved “Uncle Ben,” as he was known to most. He was always on hand to help folks when needed, especially if it involved dogs.
He was such an easy going fellow and seemed to settle people with his calm demeanor. Ben was also a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister Betty (BJ) Hunter; brothers James Britton and Timothy (Mary) Britton; nephew Lee Hunter; nieces Lona (Tim) Meredith and Emma Britton; along with many other loved family members (too many to name).
