Blanche Ione Kills Back was born on June 10, 1961 in Pine Ridge, SD, to Morris Kills Back Sr and Audry Bad Hair. Blanche made her journey to the Spirit World on November 29, 2022, at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Blanche is survived by her children Ace Chief, Burton Chief Jr, Diandra Chief, Steven (Miya Atene) Chief, Travis Kills Back, Isaiah (Allysson) Young Dog, and Ethan (Lacey) Chief; hunka son Virgil Bush Jr; sisters Suzanna Kills Back and Ruby Kills Back; brothers Morris “Gilbert” Kills Back Jr, Hugh (Denise) Kills Back, Leonard Kills Back, and Lyle Kills Back; grandchildren Katelynne Fast Eagle, Marceline Chief, Eric Chief Jr, Esme Young Dog, Caleb Kills Back, Ethan Chief Jr, Phoenix Young Dog, Burton “Yamni” Chief III, Onyx Young Dog, and Zachary Joseph; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Blanche was preceded in death by her parents Morris Kills Back Sr and Audry Bad Hair; son Dakota Chief; sisters Germaine and Sharyn; and brothers Vern and Teddy.
Pallbearers will be Ace Chief, Burton Chief Jr, Steven Chief, Isaiah Young Dog, Travis Kills Back, Ethan Chief Sr, Aaron Kills Back, Leo Kills Back Sr, and Blaine Mesteth.
