Bolz Named USDA Rural Development Director For Nebraska

Former Nebraska state senator and congressional candidate Kate Bolz of Lincoln has been the next state director of USDA Rural Development.

The White House announced the appointment on Friday.

The White House says Bolz and other regional appointees are part of President Joe Biden’s efforts to rebuild communities affected by the pandemic, the economy and climate change.

Bolz served in the Legislature from 2013 to 2021, leaving under term limits, and was the Democrats unsuccessful nominee in the 1st Congressional District in 2020.
