The family of Bonnie Joan Red Shirt is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother. Bonnie was born on September 25, 1955, in Kyle, SD to Thomas Richard and Emma (Two Crow) Richard. Bonnie made her journey to the Spirit World on May 02, 2026, at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.
Bonnie is survived by her significant other, Robert Red Shirt, Sr; her children, Joann Red Shirt, Roberta Red Shirt, Rebecca Red Shirt, Jessica Red Shirt, and Robert Red Shirt, Jr.; sisters, Leota Red Hawk, Melinda (Darell) Spotted Elk, Kathleen (James) Peterson, Jeanette Black Elk, Jolenta White Calf, Marie White Calf; aunts, Josephine Richard, Bertha Conroy; nephews, Kevin White Calf and Duane White Calf; grandchildren, Quentin Red Shirt, Cylinna Brave, John Red Shirt, Billy Jean Red Shirt, Toynina Standing Bear, Amy Standing Bear, Christopher Red Shirt, Suraya Red Shirt, Desiree Red Shirt, Apolla Red Shirt, Jennifer Red Shirt, Trudell Thunder Bull; sister in-law, Jackie Richard
