A sentencing date has been set for a Box Butte County woman who was found guilty by a jury on charges including Attempted First Degree Murder according to KNEB News.
In July, 30-year-old Rebecca Ashing was convicted on the aforementioned Class 2 Felony charge, as well as additional counts of Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony; 1st Degree Domestic Assault and 2nd Degree Assault.
Court documents say that Ashing stabbed the victim multiple times following an altercation last July at a residence on Potash Avenue. In August, District Judge Travis OโGorman ordered a 90 day evaluation, seeking more detailed information for her presentence investigation report.
Last week, OโGorman ordered Ashing to appear back in his courtroom December 12th for sentencing after receiving the PSI.
