First Responders in Broken Bow were hard at work early Thursday morning attacking a working structure fire at their power plant.

Firefighters are working through negative twenty degree temperatures after a loud explosion was reported shortly after 6 o’clock Thursday morning.

According to KBEAR News, a bunch of the city lost power due to the incident. Broken Bow City Administrator stated there was a “catastrophic system failure.” Power to some customers was restored early Thursday morning.

Cause is to be determined and locals are asked to stay clear of the area so emergency crews can mitigate the situation.
