Bryan Darnell Blue Bird Jr “Oyate Nawica Kicinzi” was born on November 29, 1960 in Pine Ridge, SD to Bryan Belleron Blue Bird Sr and Theodora Jessie White Bear. Bryan Jr made his journey to the Spirit World on November 4, 2022 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Bryan is survived by his earth parents Richard & Ethleen Two Dogs of Porcupine, SD; daughters Autumn Wiconi Blue Bird of Wounded Knee, SD, Brianne Darnell Blue Bird of Rapid City, SD, and Theodora Jessica Blue Bird of Wounded Knee, SD; hunka son William Darnell Blue Bird of Rapid City, SD; siblings Carol Madden of Pine Bluff, WY, Theresa Blue Bird of Rapid City, SD, Edna Giron of Denver, CO, Carla (Tom) Cheyenne of Wagner, SD, Ruth Cedar Face and Becki Cedar Face both of Porcupine, SD, Howard Blue Bird of Winner, SD, Ryan & Tommy Blue Bird of Pine Ridge, SD, Reg & Jim Cedar Face, and Danielle LeBeau all of Porcupine, SD, and Olivia Long Wolf of Vacaville, CA; and grandchildren Kelis Blue Bird, Shanowa Cheyenne, Brian Cheyenne, King Brandon Blue Bird, Zayden Blue Bird, Alina Jealous of Him, and Trinity Blue Bird.
Bryan was preceded in death by his mother Theodora Jessie Tail; father Bryan Blue Bird Sr; grandparents Asa Two Dogs Sr, Edna Two Dogs, Robert Blue Bird, and Julia Hornbeck; aunts Katherine Red Hail and Edna Apple; uncle Asa Two Dogs Sr; nieces Jacki Richard and Emily Blue Bird; brothers Belleron Blue Bird Sr, Lonnie Richard, John Wallowing Bull, and John Cross Dog Sr; special friend of 25 years Patricia White Bear Claws; and grandson Dominique Jealous of Him.
Pallbearers will be Asa Two Crow, Filemon Parra-Munoz, Sam Bear Killer, Donald Richards, Dakota Richard, Brennan Cheyenne, William Blue Bird, and Selam Behan.
