Burial is at the Red Feather Family Cemetery in Mission Flats.

Candace Dawn (Red Feather) Arapahoe was born on December 20, 1980 in Pine Ridge, SD to Anthony Wayne Janis, Sr. and Francis Agnes Red Feather. Candace made her journey to the Spirit World on September 9, 2021 near Scenic, SD.
Candace is survived by her spouse, Emery Arapahoe; children, Emery Arapahoe III, Sevrano Arapahoe, Matthew Arapahoe, Exodus Two Bulls, Selisia Arapahoe, Sira Arapahoe, Frances Red Feather, Sioux Lynn Arapahoe, and Hailey Red Feather; and siblings, Holly (Curtis New Holy) Red Feather, Elizabeth (Marvin) Parham, Andreana (Jesus) Guerra, Amanda (Manuel Lewis) Red Feather, Martin Red Feather, David Janis, Tiffany Janis, Tammy Janis, and Antonio Janis.
Candace was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Wayne Janis, Sr. and Francis Agnes Red Feather; maternal grandparents, Joseph & Ruth (Waters) Red Feather; daughter, Tia Rose Arapahoe; brother, Anthony Janis, Jr.; sister, Eva Red Feather; and two nieces/nephews in infancy.
