There were three different teams in the game. The teams were drafted by CSC coaches, creating a White, Cardinal and Gray team.
White against Cardinal were the two teams playing each other, while players for the Gray team were allowed to play for either team.
Three touchdowns were scored in the game and other points were added with different games between quarters.
Scoring started with 7:31 left in the first quarter for the cardinal team. Quarterback Heath Beemiller found CSC Track and Field All-American Brodie Roden for a 52-yard touchdown.
It didn’t take long for the white team to respond with a long touchdown of their own.
White team quarterback Preston Pearson found Tommy Thomas for a 75-yard touchdown only 26 seconds later.
The touchdown was the only six-pointer for the white team. All of their other points were scored between games.
The third and final touchdown of the game occurred with 3:45 in the opening period. Beemiller and Roden would once again connect on a deep ball, this one for 48 yards.
The duo connected on a 70-yard touch pass in fourth quarter with 7:53 remaining, but the touchdown was called back due to an offensive holding penalty.
The Cardinal team scored seven points in the mini games and the white team scored 14. The games included “Punt, Pass, Kick”, WR vs DB pass rush, OL vs DL punt catches and OL vs DL route running.
