The Chadron High boys golf team had a sluggish outing at Wednesday’s Gering Invite at Monument Shadows, shooting one of their higher scores of the season, a 354.
The Cardinals also missed the top 10 individually. Broc Berry was at the top of the Chadron scorecard with an 85.
Mitchell’s Cael Peters cleared the rest of the field by 5-strokes with a 4-under 68 to snag the win.
Cheyenne East won the team title by a stroke over Scottsbluff, 304-305.
Chadron will head to Ogallala next Thursday.
