The Chadron Cardinals took on the Lakota Tech Tatanka last night. The Cardinals hung right with the Tatanka who were coming off a 91 performance but fell 56-33.
The Cardinals were outpaced in the first quarter by a 16-5 score. Reese Ritterbush had five of her team high 11 points in that first quarter.
The Cardinals went right with the Tatanka in the second quarter but went into the half down 30-16.
Lakota Tech continued to stretch the lead in the second half to finish off a 65-33 win. The Cardinals record drops to 5-5 with a game at home vs Mitchell on Saturday up next.
Reese Ritterbush finished with 11 points, Gracie Calkins was next with six. Jezy Alcorn had five, Thaivunh Sayaloune had four, Cali Hendrickson finished with three. Sophie Watson had a field goal to finish with two and Jove Griese had one.
Next up is a girls/boys doubleheader at the Bird Cage on Saturday when Mitchell comes to Chadron. JV is at two, with varsity girls at 3:30 and boys to follow.
