The Chadron High boys golf team finished 3rd at their own 8-team invitational on Thursday.
The Cardinals’ 344 was just 2 strokes behind runner-up Gering, but Scottsbluff was the easy winner by 18 at 324.
     Mitchell’s Cael Peters dominated the individual chase, winning by 5 strokes with a 2-under 70.
Chadron placed 3 golfers in the top 10, led by Broc Berry, who fired an 82 and won a playoff for 5th. Trey Hendrickson and Zane Cullers were part of a 4-way tie for 10th at 86.
Crawford’s Roman Metz also cracked the top 10, winning a playoff to finish 7th with an 83.
