Funeral services for 86-year old Carole Dishong of Gordon, NE, are Sat, March 25, 2023, at 10:00 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gordon.Â
Burial will be in the Gordon Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday March 24, from 4 to 6:00 at Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home in Gordon.

Carole Kay Coon Dishong was born Nov 15, 1936, in Albany, NE, an died on March 19, 2023, at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, NE, surrounded by her loving family.
Carole was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorris Coon, the second of three siblings.
She graduated from Manville High School in 1954 and married Gary Benson. Together they had six children.
Carole went on to get her master’s degree from Chadron State College and spent the next 41 years dedicating her life to raising her children and teaching. She loved teaching and children loved her.
Carole later married Lester Dishong. They both loved to fish, camp and travel, so they were the perfect couple. They enjoyed life together until the time of Les’s passing in 2006.
Carole is survived by her six children: Craig (Cindy) Benson, Tracie (Roger) Rudloff, Renee Sasse, Martin (Karen) Benson, Dorris (Mike) Roelle, Denise (Kurt) Holscher, stepchildren Sandy Fricke and Carol Clark, two brothers and their wives, Ben (Della) Coon, and Tom (Chris) Coon, 24 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester, and her two stepsons Gary and Greg.
