Funeral services for 54-year old Cecil Little Hawk Jr are Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00 at the Advent Chapel in the Calico Community near Pine Ridge, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Richard Broken Nose
Burial is at the Advent Cemetery in the Calico Community near Pine Ridge, SD.
A two-night wake service starts Friday, September 17, at 11:00, also at the Advent Chapel in the Calico Community.
Cecil Charles Little Hawk Jr “Nape Zi” was born on July 31, 1967 in Pine Ridge, SD to Cecil Charles Little Hawk, Sr. and Leona Beatrice (Poor Bear) Little Hawk. Cecil made his journey to the Spirit World on September 9, 2021 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
Cecil is survived by his spouse, Mary Little Hawk; daughters, Kelly (Jason), Buddi Jo (Mo) and Rosalie Little Hawk; sons, Austin (Sage) Little Hawk and Cecil (Emmaline) Little Hawk III; hunka children, Shelly Rodriguez and Gabriel Brooks; siblings, Loretta Little Hawk and Jane (Dan) Little Hawk-Rodriguez; hunka sister/brothers, Faye Annamitta, Roger Lamere, Rick Palmier and Richard Annamitta; grandchildren, Deon Lewis, Davis Two Bulls, Julian Lewis, Christine Two Bulls, Dillon Lewis, Brady Two Bulls, Devon Little Hawk, Kinsley Little Hawk, Zoey Little Hawk, Arianna Little Hawk, Jackson Palmier, Quincy Little Hawk, Illyanna Fillspipe, Edwin Fillspipe, Charlee, Ryan, Peyton, Phillip and Lindsey Ward, Pamela Little Hawk, Olivia Little Hawk and Chayton Yankton; and nieces/nephews, Michelle, Reuben, Allie and Mariah Weston, Danny Jr., Renae, Missy, J.J. and Shelly Rodriguez.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Charles Little Hawk, Sr. and Leona (Poor Bear) Little Hawk; sister, Evelene Little Hawk; brother, Duane Little Hawk; nieces, Deanna Little Hawk and April Love Little Hawk; nephew, Alex White Plume, Jr.; cousins, Stanly “Lindo” Little Hawk and Debra Little Hawk; and aunt, Viola Alford.
Pallbearers will be Russel Fast Wolf, Donavan Thunder Hawk, Tobi Price, Brian Starr, Corbin Romero and Cedric Broken Nose.
