Chadron 12th At Class C Boys Golf State Tournament

     Chadron High finished 12th yesterday at the Nebraska Boys Golf Class C state tournament in Columbus, shortened to 1 round by bad weather on Tuesday

      The Cardinals’ Broc Berry shot a 13-over 85 to tie for 32nd, Zane Cullers tied for 40th with an 87, Andrew Gothard finished tied for 78th with a 94, Tobin Meyer tied for 92nd with a 98, and Trey Hendrickson’s 99 left him alone in 94th

       Kearney Catholic shot a 322 and held off Scotus Catholic by 1 while Sam Wells of St Paul and Kearney Catholic’s Nash Malone tied for 1st at 1-over 73, but Wells got the tiebreaker. 

    At the Class D tournament in North Platte, Hemingford finished tied for 8th at 713, leaving them 55 strokes behind champion Overton.

Crawford’s Rhett Flack competed as an individual and finished tied for 47th after a 79-80-159, Jake Dane of Sandy Creek took the title by one stroke at 150

    The Class B tournament was at the Scottsbluff Country Club and the hometown club placed 2nd with a 635, just 5 strokes behind Norris. The team champions were led by individual winner Carson Thurber, who shot a 146.

Scottsbluff had 2 golfers right behind Thurber as Tommy Dredla finished 2nd at 148 while Noah Shaddick tied for 3rd with a 149.
