Chadron placed 5th Thursday at the Ogallala Boys Golf Invitational, the last event before Monday’s district tournaments.
Chadron shot a 333, one stroke behind #4 Ogallala and one stroke ahead of Gering. Scottsbluff fired a 317 to beat Alliance by 7 strokes.
The Cards put 3 golfers in the top 15. Tobin Meyer tied for 11th with an 81 but had to settle for 13th in a playoff while Broc Berry and Andrew Sommerville were 14th and 15th with matching 82s.
Tristan Timbers of Alliance ran away with the individual title with 4-under part 68, good for a 6 stroke victory.
