The annual Chadron American Legion Post #12 Wood Bat Tournament is today and tomorrow at Maurice Horse Field.
Joining the host First National Bank of Omaha Senior Nationals are Gordon, Gering, Alliance, and Valentine. Each team will play 2 games each day in the round-robin format with Chadron having the first and last game both days.
The Nationals open the tournament this morning with Gordon at 10:30, then wrap up the day at 6:00 against Alliance. Tomorrow’s times are the same with Chadron against Gering at 10:30 before concluding the tournament with Valentine at 6:00.
The Senior Nationals are 5-4 on the young season after going 3-1 last weekend in a tournament at Gering with wins over Alliance, Buckley and Casper. They also have a couple of blowout victories over Bridgeport.
