The Chadron High boys and girls basketball teams were swept at home by Scottsbluff on Tuesday night.
The Chadron girls rode early momentum to a 20-14 lead with 4 minutes left in the first half, but the Bearcats finished on a 23-7 run behind Anna Kelley’s 14 2nd quarter points, and took a 37-27 lead at the half.
The teams played tighter in the 2nd half where Scottsbluff outscored Chadron 26-23 in the final 16 minutes for the 63-50 win.
Taverra Sayaloune led the Cards with 11 points.
The Chadron boys stuck with Scottsbluff for a quarter, trailing 16-13 after one, but Scottsbluff dominated the 2nd quarter 29-9 and rolled to a 76-46 victory.
Scottsbluff knocked down 10 three pointers on the night and held Chadron to single digit outputs in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
Three Cardinals hit double figures, led by Xander Provance and Brady Daniels with 12 points each. Broc Berry had 11.
Chadron now hits the road for three straight starting with Gering on Friday.
