The second January meeting of the Chadron City Council is scheduled for Monday (Jan 20) evening at 6PM in the council chambers. There are, reportedly, few business items to address.
After consenting the agenda, Deb Cottier- Executive Director of Northwest Nebraska Development Corporation- will report to the council. That will be followed by the council’s recognition of National Radon Action Month which encourages people to test their homes for radon throughout the month of January.
Two new resolutions will round out the new business for the meeting. They include Resolution 2025-3: calling to designate certification administrators for the Chadron Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department in accordance with the Volunteer Emergency Responders Incentive Act. Resolution 2025-4 will authorize a grant application to be submitted to the Dawes County Travel Board and the Dawes County Commissions for the construction of the ADA Restrooms for the Downtown Plaza on Chadron’s Main Street.
Like all Chadron City Council meetings, the public is welcome to attend and provide public comments before the meeting’s adjournment.
