The Chadron City Council will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday this month because of the Labor Day Holiday.
The main agenda items will have to do with finances. One ordinance will be to adopt the fee ordinance for the fiscal year, this will be the third and final reading of that ordinance.
The other item will be a resolution to approve an increase in the Nebraska Public Power District Lease Payment from 12.5% to 13% beginning January 1st next year.
In other business, the council will discuss the search process to find a new city clerk following the retirement of long time city clerk Donna Rust.
The City Manager will update the council on the Memorial Park Improvement Project and also again remind citizens of Chadron on the enforcement of ordinances regarding weeds, grass, worthless vegetation, overhanging branches, and trash.
The meeting Tuesday will begin at 6 at Chadron City Hall on Main Street in downtown Chadron.
