Chadron City Transit has extended the reservation deadline for Thursday’s trip to the Prairie Wind Casino on the Pine Ridge Reservation east of Oelrichs.
City Transit Supervisor Julie Lawrence says the bus can carry 12 passengers and 2 wheelchairs and since there were still some open seats, the decision was made to take reservations up through Wednesday.
The cost of the trip is $20 per person with departure from the Chadron Senior Center at 8:30 and a return about 3:00. Seats can be reserved by calling the regular City Transit number 308-432-0520.
Chadron City Transit is also offering shuttle rides to Chadron State Park this Saturday for the park’s 102nd Anniversary Celebration. The cost is $10 for a round trip.
Buses will leave from the northeast corner of the Walmart parking lot every half-hour from 9:00 to 2:00 with returns leaving the park every half-hour from 10:30 to 3:00.
Reservations are not required and neither are park entry passes. Chadron State Park will provide shuttle service to the various activities around the park.
