Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Garret Dockweiler to our dedicated team of healthcare providers. Dr. Dockweiler brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is eager to serve the community in his new role.
Dr. Dockweiler is a proud graduate of Chadron State College, where he studied from 2013 to 2017. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center – College of Medicine in Omaha, graduating in 2021. Following medical school, Dr. Dockweiler completed a three-year residency in Family Medicine at Waco Family Medicine in Waco, Texas.
Born and raised in Central Nebraska, Dr. Dockweiler is thrilled to return to his roots and serve a
community close to his heart. “I’m excited to be back in a small town and contribute to the health and well-being of this community,” Dr. Dockweiler said. “I look forward to building relationships with my patients and providing comprehensive care.”
Dr. Dockweiler will be seeing patients at Chadron Medical Clinic, as well as providing coverage in the emergency room, offering obstetric services, and performing screening colonoscopies for Chadron Community Hospital. His broad skill set ensures that patients in the region will receive high-quality, accessible healthcare.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Dockweiler enjoys fishing and working on house projects.
He and his wife are the proud parents of two children, and they are eager to become active members of the community.
