The Chadron Cardinals started their effort in the Class C State Tournament on Monday. The day started with a one hour delay due to freezing temperatures and frost at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte.
The Cardinals as a team shot a 424 which puts them 12th, 78 shots behind the team leader in Minden who shot a 346 to lead by six shots going into the second round.
Individually the Cardinals were led by Taegan Bach with a 32 over 104, tied for 57th. Reese Ritterbush was one shot behind her with a 105, tied for 60th. Emmerson Landreth shot a 106 to be in a tie for 64th and Eliana Uhing shot a 109 to round out the team scoring. Also competing for Chadron was Gillian Conway, finishing with a 129.
Barring any delays Bach will lead off the Cardinal golfers in the final round teeing off at 9:57 mountain time, which will start a run of three straight tee times for the Cardinals with Ritterbush at 10:06, and Landreth at 10:15. Uhing will tee off at 10:33 and Conway will tee it up at 11:36.
