The Chadron High softball team collected their biggest series win of the season on Tuesday, defeating Scottsbluff 6-2 to win the season series two games to one. The Cardinal win was their fifth in their last six outings and puts a stop to Scottsbluff’s seven game winning streak.
Kinley Richardson’s two run homer just three batters into the game gave Chadron the early lead before they tacked on three more runs in the second inning and another in the third. In addition to Richardson, Sarah LeBere, Aubrey Milburn, and Cali Hendrickson drove in runs.
Maci Rutledge had a solid night in the circle with four strikeouts, two walk and seven hits, three of those in the last inning,
Richardson earned our Service Barber Shop player of the game honors while Milburn’s win clinching catch in center field was the Dunbar’s U Design It play of the game.
Chadron will wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a triangular against Alliance and Chase County in Alliance.
C-10 sub-district brackets are expected to be released on Thursday.
