Broc Berry threw for two touchdowns and Quinn Bailey rushed for another, but Chadron came up short on the road Friday night at Sidney 40-21.
Berry’s first touchdown pass of the night to Trey Hendrickson put the Cards on top 7-6 heading to the 2nd quarter.
Trailing 26-7 with just over 3 minutes left in the 3rd Bailey rumbled in from 16 yards out and cut the deficit down to 26-14, but Sidney kept getting into the endzone and extended the lead out to 40-14
Berry’s 2nd touchdown pass, this time to Tobin Rust, resulted in the game’s final score.
Chadron is now 4-2 on the season while the Red Raiders are a perfect 6-0. Chadron returns home next Friday to host Ogallala on KCSR and Chadrad.com.
