The Chadron High football team ended the regular season with a 5-4 record following their 48-28 loss on the road to McCook on Friday night.

Quinn Bailey had two scores on the ground and tossed a touchdown pass to Xander Provance while Gage Wild also found the endzone early in the contest.

Wild gave the Cards the early 7-0 lead off of a four and a half minute game opening drive. The Bison scored the next three to go on top 20-7 before Bailey hit the end zone for the first time.

McCook would extend the lead out to 48-14 before Bailey scored again to pull within 48-21. Bailey’s pass to Provance capped off the scoring at 48-28.

Chadron will now wait and see if they advance to the C1 playoffs.
