    The Alliance Spartans were the only team to go undefeated at the Chadron American Legion Post #12 Wood Bat Tournament.
Alliance beat Gering 7-1 and Sheridan County 6-2 on Sunday after smashing Valentine 18-0 and topping Chadron 9-5 on Saturday
The Chadron FNBO Senior Nationals started on a positive note with a 1-0 win over the Sheridan County Regulators in the tournament opener, but lost their final 3 games with 2 losses Sunday, 10-3 to Gering in the morning and 9-5 to Valentine in the last game of the night.
That was Valentine’s only win and came immediately after an 11-6 loss to Sheridan County, which finished 2-2. Gering was also 2-2 for the weekend.
